Lost Places
Abandoned places. New opportunities.

My Projects – Making Visible What Others Overlook
At Break Silence, my goal is to give a voice to silent places – both literally and symbolically.
My projects begin where others often look away:
in abandoned buildings, in neglected neighborhoods, and in the stories of people with disabilities.
I don’t just want to raise awareness – I want to create spaces. Spaces for safety. For connection.
For the future.
🏚️ Current Project: Lost Places – Abandoned Places, New Opportunities
In many cities, former schools, public offices, or municipal buildings stand empty – unused, yet full of potential.
To me, these are not just abandoned spaces,
but opportunities to create safe places for children who were left behind too early.
For children growing up without a family.
For young people who have experienced war, displacement, or exclusion.
For people with disabilities who need protection and nclusion.
I actively seek out such places – not to let them decay in silence, but to bring them back to life: with warmth, safety, and connection.
I am currently working on my first report about so-called “Lost Places” in North Rhine-Westphalia.
I am already in contact with cities and ministries and preparing initial site visits.

📍 Coming Soon: Photos, locations, stories
Every forgotten place deserves a second chance and every person deserves a safe place in society.
🙌 Do you know of an empty building with potential for protection, inclusion, or new social use?
Or would you like to support me in this project?
Feel free to reach out via the contact page, I appreciate every message and any kind of support.
